Would lamium be a good groundcover in light shade / light sun, zone 5, semi moist soil but where deer like to browse and nibble as there is a stream nearby?

Thanks,

I have a lot of dead nettle coming up in my yard this year. The deer nibble freely from my yard daily, and I still have dead nettle. Not sure if they completely leave it alone or nibble just a little, but I have plenty of dead nettle!
