| ... for my woodland garden "wish list." I think I still have a couple of years to go however before I win the battle against the poison ivy in my little "fence row" of trees, but eventually it will be woodland garden and not a warzone. LOL
Thanks for another great article! |

| I grew these from seed. I had a tray that I'd sowed in
spring of 2006 that I put in the barn. A full year later,
they all germinated at once. I have them in a couple
places on the property and love their little white flowers
and nice folliage. I enjoyed your article Todd. Its nice
to learn a little more about them.

| Drat, they're not native in my part of the state, but according to plant files, they're hardy here. Do you think they'd spread if I planted them here? There are places where I'm removing invasive japanese honeysuckle, and I need something to plant there.

| I see no reason why they would not spread for you...they certainly do for me! |

| Well, drat. Not sure if my message went or not. So the short version is that this grows in my full sun garden in rather indifferent soil. It is slightly invasive but easy to pull up where I don't want it. We do have cooler weather than you all, but comparable to Todd's. They bloom just slightly after Shooting Stars, but while the stars' greenery flops down after blooming, at least the anemone's plant remains pretty and pert. Would love to get some of the lavender ones. Todd, can you recommend a vendor? |

| I got mine from Fraser Thimble Farms in BC. They bloom before the shooting stars in Newfoundland but like you say, stay green all summer long in our cool climate. |

| Lovely plants! Another informative article and the arising of plant lust. The BIG question: will the deer let us have these? |
