Nice! I only have one with buds and they are taking forever to open, any ideas about what might be wrong with them?

What do you classify as forever? I know from the time I first see the buds it is a couple of weeks or so before the flowers bloom. I don't know that I ever actually timed it before but it definitely feels like you are watching/waiting for water to boil when you are excited about the blooms! lol

Where do you get your plants from, I have two blooming and I have a lot of seedlings and some larger ones not quite blooming size yet.

Do you put them outdoors in the summer?

Ok perhaps forever was a bad word choice but if my memory serves it did not take as long last summer for them to open up so I am wondering if they might have some issues...or maybe I am just impatient and slightly senile.

My older adenium often sets buds but then drops them. But it usually happens in March when the temps are rather cool and the sun is not so bright here. It could be a good idea to use additional light to help with blooming. But in TX there should be no problem with heat and light. Other than that some fertilizing is what I can think of.

Mine are in the house all year except for a couple of months when it is realy hot outside. buds never take long to open.

These are seed pods I had last year from my politating, gave all the seeds away.

Mine are out pretty much from April (daytime in March often) through September but aren't in full blazing sun. The blooms on the one mature plant which I have in nearly full sun and fertilize 2 times a week has had these flowers for several weeks and they still haven't opened up. The plant was also very slow to leaf out but I think its because I branch trimmed and repotted this spring. Do you think that could cause the long bloom delay?
Wow! those are some big seed pods, I have never seen one on my plant.
