Hi, I've just found out about Vireya Rhododendrons, and wonder if they could stand my heat-- 95 max in the late summer. I have a great place to put some.

I see there are a couple of Hawaiian nurseries that offer Vireyas, and I'm wondering if they're high altitude places.

    Thanks in advance!

Vireya do well in the lowlands (coastal windward) of Hawai'i.

    Azalea do well upcountry.

Hmm, wonder if they'd grow with (summer) 90* days, and 80* nights, a little cooler in winter, but minimum 68* (BRRR!!) usually 75.

That sounds like good temps for Vireya. Here are some links that may help.
