My nectarines begin to ooze what looks like sugar and then become rotten before they are ripe. So, I end up picking them while small and having to cut off most of the damaged areas. What is this ooze, and how do I prevent it? The tree was raised from a pit, as are two others that have germinated this summer. I really would like to take proper care of these beautiful trees. Thank you for your insight.
