Wow, I just now read your message from July. I've been working outside in our yard sadly cleaning up our yard after last weekends freeze saying farewell to my beautiful flowers and vines that I so enjoyed all spring and summer. I enjoyed trying out some new vines that I discovered in a garden shop in Old Salem, N.C. One was an orange colored black-eyed susan vine and the most lovely smelling snail vine that I plan on planting again next spring. Well, we always have next year to look forward to I guess. I'll have plenty of time this winter to catch up on all your past articles and I'm really looking forward to reading them. Have a great fall!
I love the black eyed susan vine too, and after the summer drought it was about the only thing I had blooming. Our big frost came over the weekend, but I had most of the yard and garden ready for it. Still hated to see the demise of my favorite coleus. I did manage to keep a few pieces, we'll see if they make it through the winter.
