I cannot get into my flower garden without getting eaten up by mosquitos. I have never had a summer like this. Does anyone have any home remidies that I can use till I can get to a store? Appreciate it much. Thanx Kim
Do you grow catnip? I rub catnip branches on me and it seems to keep the mosquitos off short term.
Skin So Soft (Avon) cream used to be called mosquito repellant even though it wasn't sold for that.
I have a natural repellant that contains lemon eucalyptus oil. You might try some of your lotion and get lucky with one scent that confuses them.
But besides that you must be sure you've emptied ANY standing water. Birdbaths, buckets, empty flower pots left in the garden? Clogged rain gutters? Dishes under plants, and even a vase of flowers on a deck table? I once found water pooled in the bottom of our outside Air conditioner unt with mosquito larvae living there.
Good luck! Thanks for reading!
