jerryhildebrand, Great looking Old German Tomato!
Are you aware of our group -- CHOPTAG (Cincinnati Heirloom Open Pollinated Tomato Associate Growers) which meets in the Spring for an Heirloom Tomato/Pepper, etc. plant exchange in May? We also meet in August for our Tomato Tasting which is summer must! Folks from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and sometimes other parts. There is a Best in Taste, Largest, Ugliest contest! Dates for the Spring and Summer are being set; I will post those as soon as the decision is made. We have been meeting for ten years and it is like coming home to see family! We usually being good "eats" to share!
Happy Gardening! May all your "tomato" wishes come true!
For those here --- Anyone interested in attending these gatherings are welcome.
Janice, That would be great! Remy and Gary came several years ago; they drove down the day before and spent the day with us at the Tomato Tasting and headed back home on Monday. I don't know how the the drive is from your home to Cincinnati; you might be able to drive back on Sunday afternoon. They are usually over late afternoon and the Park where we meet is on the north east near the Interstate to Columbus.
Jerry I will certainly keep you updated on the dates for both events.
