I love it! I have one planted next to my deck--think I'll have to move it. How does it do in partial shade?

Thanks for your comments, quiltjean. Painters Palette actually does better in semi-shade than in full sun. The leaf colors are more pronounced. Red Dragon does well under the same conditions. All the rest of the Persicarias that I mentioned do best in sun, but will tolerate some shade. Which Persicaria were you referring to?

Gee, I guess standard persicaria polymorpha, with white flowers, about 4 feet high. I'm new to this and only learned its name from my son, who has a huge plant in his yard in VT.
    Sorry to be so late.

My two plants get afternoon sun only and do very well. Where were you intending to replant it?

Partial shade. My condo needs plantings, and I think this would fit nicely in one bed that gets some sun. It sure doesn't seem too particular! Right now it's squeezed into a foot square (surface).

Sounds like a good place to me. You're right, it certainly is a very robust plant!
