I enjoyed your article, but one of the plants has to be taken off of your list. Every year I plant my calla lilies, and every year the bunnies eat the new shoots right down to the ground. I then have lilies with stunted blossoms. Last year I put a small fencing around them and they were not bothered, but I had to go over to the planting to see them. Most of the flowers were hidden by the fencing. Here in Mass. we have had a booming rabbit population and they just love calla lilies, creeping phlox, and my New York asters which never got a chance to grow taller than about 2 inches and of course never bloomed.
