♥RAISE MY BABY Swap III ♥ The Final Parade

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1114270/
We came from there.. and the other five previous rooms.

This is it Mamas. The final parade. Show off your babies in their present condition here.
Of course exceptions are made for those that are "Eternally Green" or like Charleen's who has gone through her "life cycle", that would be impossible to produce pictures.

This has been an exceptionally 'vigorous' competition. From moonshine to margaritas and the piggies that ate the 'fox'----- it's been an entertaining one as well!!
Luckily Dr.Bonn Voyage didn't make more housecalls after Marion Jr.

So go on and show off your babies. This will be the last time they'd be on the runway!!

For the judge's convenience, I've made individual folders for you all, of course all posted pictures will be in there, dated as well.
Good luck Mamas.. and I'm relieved that I won't be the judge!! Would be a tough call!

LK, Sunshine is happy blooming, I see. What have you been feeding her?

(Linda Kay) Del Rio, TX(Zone 9a)

Just lots of rain water lately!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Those golden showers are the right recipe for our plants.... unless it's too much!

(Linda Kay) Del Rio, TX(Zone 9a)

I agree, Mother nature knows when we need it most of the time!

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

Coral Bell is looking good thanks to Mother Nature and lots of good old-fashioned well water.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Awww Leggy must love you beaucoup, Sis. Hope he keeps up his strength this winter.

Haven't set up the date yet "Carmen Fruit".
Church sister has an extremely busy calendar this month, so we have the whole month to show pics.

So.. let's cha cha cha your babies Mamas!!

(jax) Dundalk, MD(Zone 7a)

...........me thinks the good Dr Ruppel has suffered a tad the past month. Looks like he beez traumaized by unruly, space-grabbing elephant ears! i guess he scappel skills were not up to par. all he had to do done was cut thems down. When i done dig the ee's up yesterditty....this is what i seez!

Jax, it could be the hydrangeas are robbing the moisture off baby Ruppel? Aww... he's gonna have a good winter's sleep and come back better next year.

Bessemer, AL(Zone 8b)

jax should win mother of the year. after all her deed raze a dr.

(Linda Kay) Del Rio, TX(Zone 9a)

I agree! She has done a wonderful job!

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

I don't have internet at home, so can't post any pics yet of Colleen, who's been doing just great since I got her away from the darn bird!

How long do I have before the judge awards the winner? :)

(jax) Dundalk, MD(Zone 7a)

thanky, big sis Kathy! (♫to all others.....na na na nana!♫♫)

Glenview, IL

You go Girl!!

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Well, I am just glad that it's not me that will be judging.

Looks like Jax already has a few 'lobbyists'!!

Chris, you have till the end of October!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

LadyM is still going, do I have to bring her in for the winter?

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Hi Debra.
I thought Lady Michiko is hardy up to zone 5. If you have doubts, maybe you should overwinter her in a pot for her first year, then after that, let her stay in ground with plenty of mulch.

Cookie if you're lurking, can you please advise Debra, since you grow ferns..and have similar zone.

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

Jaybird, Did I read that right we're going to have a Halloween Ball?

Cha, cha, cha.....

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

No, no, no.. let's not spooked the babies!
More like a Nature Thanksgiving Ball, Fruit, since the announcement will be after the 1st. of November.

If you need leaves to dress up in, Fruit, I do have giant elephant ears ;)

TabacVille, NC(Zone 7a)

Oh.. btw...I've decided there will be 2 categories.
Flowering and non-flowering plants. To be fair.

(Marion) Havana, FL(Zone 8b)

How about the deadest the quickest category? LO(L

Blue Ridge Mtns, VA(Zone 7a)

LOL Maid M!

Gotcha, Jaye. Well Coral Bell will flower but was too ittle this year. Still a dainty babe.

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

Hi everyone! The internet is finally up and running, so I'll send a quick pic of Colleen..you can see her latest leaf is still unfurling..she's doing so well and I love her to death! In fact, there's now another shoot coming up! She really likes the new location :)

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Chris I love your Colleen, I have one like that, which window is she in?

Leesburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Looking good Chris!! Fruit Loop brought me one of those and it is cranking along now that it has gotten settled. Great plants!

(Chris) Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

I actually have her in a North window.. tons of indirect, bright light.. she was in a South window, very indirect light before, so we'll see how she does.

I just received around 8 new plants from Carole in Fruity's tropical/houseplant swap.. Colleen was so surprised to see her cousin Polly (Poly) came to live with us :) Polly's kinda sad from the trip, but I'm going to set her next to Colleen and I bet she'll perk right up :)

Clarksville, TN(Zone 6b)

When will there be another one of these swaps???

(Linda Kay) Del Rio, TX(Zone 9a)

http://davesgarden.com/community/forums/t/1136639/

New swap for Christmas stockings!

Leesburg, VA(Zone 7a)

Carole the RMB swap usually starts in the Spring.

Clarksville, TN(Zone 6b)

Thanks, Neener. I'll keep that in mind.
