    dehydrated

I've had an abundance of yellow cherry tomatoes. Been dehydrating them after marinating them in olive oil, garlic and fresh Italian herbs. Smell so good. Plan on using them in cream cheese as a spread and in salads, sauces or whatever.

    fruits

Bought one of those round dehydraters several years ago at a yard sale for $10. Had no idea how much I'd use it. Last couple of years to lazy to can. Dried tomatoes, herbs, fruits. Yes, so much easier than canning. Maybe not as good as canning, however not to waste the produce, it works.

    pipe

when I was a "kid" I helped the teacher at the Lutheran school that I attended grad papers. In return, he'd give me a piano lesson. As I got better, he asked me if I'd like to play the church organ - this organ was one of those with the huge pipes, crafted in Germany - he was also the church organist. WOW ! That sounded so neat - we went up the narrow stairs to the choir loft and I was introduced to foot pedals, stops, 2 keyboards...I remember this like yesterday. I got to practice quite a bit and then was allowed to play "regular" songs rather than hymnbook songs. This went just wonderful until one day, the gruff, staid, old Luthern preacher came in and heard me playing "ALLEY CAT" - bass pedals booming !! He crept up those narrow stairs, walked over to the organ and in the most sarcastic voice told me that this organ was for sacred music, only. It's a wonder I didn't pass out - I did not see him coming - that was the end of my contemport music on the sacred organ...lol

used non-fat milk, no syrup. mixed some cinnamon, ginger, and cloves together with just a little bit of sugar, and used that as a topping with about a 1/2 teaspoon margarine. breakfast was less than 500 calories, and about 25% of calories from fat.

i don't go in for any of the fad diets...i just try to cut out the unhealthy stuff and stick to eating more fruits, veggies, and nuts such as natural almonds, walnuts, and pumpkin seeds, but just a few of those at at time. I've been doing pretty good the last week. haven't even missed the "C" word.

I try to get off the hard stuff as quickly as possible, but when the pain is so severe - like bone pain - it takes something that will dull all senses.
What amazes is the # of tablets the Dr prescribes - I had a script for 80 and have used fewer than 30. Maybe I'm just a tough ole broad...LOL

Hey sylvia, here's the website for grapple... http://grapplefruits.com/ When you click on the link, it takes you to the home page for grapple. Click on the tab that says how they are made? and it explains what they do to make the apple grape flavored. My Safeway Supermarket has them. They display them right next to the grapes. I haven't tried one yet, though.
