I AM LOOKING TO TRADE FOR GINGERS THAT I DO NOT HAVE IN MY COLLECTION !
I HAVE ABOUT 150 DIFFERENT GINGERS. D-MAIL ME FOR THE LIST OF WHAT I DO HAVE !
I WILL TRADE FOR LARGE HEALTHY RHIZOMES OR Plants. No Hedychium or Costus rhizomes less than 3 inches, the tiny ones never seem to survive.
Thank You, Richard

Hi Ginger grower, sorry to pester you, but you seem like someone that may be able to help me. I had a ginger plant that looked just like the one you have posted, only diff was my flowers were all pink and a lighter shade. I have a question for you...We took in a stray cat last spring...Well he chose this plant to do his business in (mumbles)..anyway, needless to say the plant died. The leaves were cut back and the roots were just sorta left in a pot alone with no soil since last spring.
I decided to try to save them, why I have no idea, since I know nothing about this plant. (another reason I joined this site..to learn !)

Anyway, I put them in your basic potting soil, miracle grow.. and keep them moist and they get morning and mid day sun. I see a whitish green growth forming at the base of one of the roots. (or bulbs?)
Are these saveable? Am I wasting my time?
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks!
