Interesting story...I can't say I'm convinced though - the Jack 'O' Lantern being an Irish thief is a bit of a cliche, like Chips 'O' Tool being a famous carpenter! I think that perhaps Mitch prefers to tell this story as it is close to something he believes in, his religion. Pagans believe in a different story and historians in another, I'm sure the true and most believable version is out there somewhere.
