    Good job once again, Sharron!
Interestingly, even in areas where belief systems have long been established, humans seeking to "market" new religions to adherents of older faiths often use plants as teaching tools. Other good examples are the Passion Flower and the Shamrock.

    Jazzy,

    You're right! Here's the shamrock: http://davesgarden.com/guides/articles/view/1942/

I haven't written about the Passion Flower, I'm not as familiar with it and I usually only write about things I know.

Thank you once again for reading the articles!

    Another great humanities article, Sharron!
Are you familiar with the song "The Wearing of the Green"?

I love the way in which plants, music, and art all preserve bits of cultural history.

    Thanks...
Like so many other ballads from Ireland, it tugs at your heartstrings, doesn't it?

You put that really nicely, I learned about plants while a child, then entered college looking for a degree in art/humanities. It wasn't until I was in the middle of my teaching career that I finally put it all together. What we learn from ancient humanity comes from its arts.
