I can no longer get into DG on my home comp. with win98. I am afraid to change it because I am worried my older peripherals won't work. But my browser is IE 5.5. If I upgrade my browser, will my older stuff work? Can I go back? Will a newer version even work with win98?
Microsoft web site indicates IE-6 w/SP-1 is supported for Win-98 and Win-98SE. May or may not be high enough level for your needs. Try it and see. New OS with old devices may be another story altogether. The price of a new OS such as Win-7, about $300, can be as much as half the price of an entirely new entry level pc.
