Would like info on best methods for raising onions. I have never attempted to raise them from seed and am interested in trying. Also, would like to know which onions get the biggest. Thanks for any info you can share on onions..

I have never had much luck with seed onions, other than the bunching onions.
I buy plants from Dixondale Farms in Texas.
Biggest onion for us are Big daddy. 2009, they were all over 1lb with 2lb 9oz the biggest.
