Hi,
A bit late but I just wish to add how I enjoyed a well written and informative piece. It is good to get a deep insight into Chestnuts (of all sorts).

Hi,
Just beginning to warm a little after the worst spell of snow and -12 temperatures since 1981. Lots of casualties I would think but, hey! the Hellebores and Hamamelis are in flower, Snowdrops peeping out ... Spring is definitely on the way!

All the best.

That's good to know. We see forsythia first here, but I haven't seen any yet. The stores have bare root roses as of yesterday.
