You assumed correctly for me. I'd never even heard of this fruit. After reading your description, I immediately was reminded of persimmon which also has to be almost rotten to be eaten and the description of the slimy seeds seemed to fit too. Thanks for presenting it. I love to learn something new. Cam

You are welcome! I do love my medlar tree and I like the taste of the fruit although I am still trying to figure out what to do with them all.
