Thanks for the in depth report on Amaranthus caudatus. It grows very well here in New Mexico and I always plant at least one as a conversation piece. Folks are always curious about it and now I have your article to add to everyones knowledge base.
It was fun to dig up some of the background on the plant! I did get a lot of questions about it when I grew it, and I plan to grow a few more varieties this year, in a more visible location. Someone very kindly offered me seeds of a couple of different varieties, so I'm really looking forward to trying some new ones!
