Source of Mountain Laurel

Cockeysville, MD(Zone 7a)

I'm looking for a source of native Mountain Laurel (Kalmia) in the Baltimore-Southern Pennsylvania area. Would like to find stock of the variety that grows wild in Pennsylvania, not a hybrid. Any suggestions?

I have seen MLs in these websites: www.rarefindnursery.com www.greergardens.com and at www.gurneys.com sometimes. Check to see what do they have for sale now and if they are natives. Organic-minded stores sometimes include only native plants so they might be a source of native MLs.

I bought two Kaleidoscopes from Hershey's Azalea Farm in Gap, PA last summer. They seemed to have survived the winter so far and I am anxious to see if they bloom this year. They have several varieties available. The plants are small and inexpensive. Be aware they are not in pots, so you need to bring a box. (They dig them out for you.) Nice place but no website. Here's a site with a phone number and directions:
