I just read the article about growing Columbines and agree that they are easy to start from seed...but how does one protect them from leaf miner? Thanks for any help that you can give. Happy gardening!
I think if you catch it early, pinching off the affected leaves can help. My columbines get it worse some year than others... but other than looking bad, it doesn't really seem to do much. I'm sure they'd be a little more vigorous without it, but they still increase in size and come back each spring.
