I used to have one--a shamrock. Although, I am more French-descended that Irish, this St. Patty's Day Ill have to plant some more in honor of my Irish-descended friends. Each and every one of them is a character through and through.
Its true. Being Irish lasts through the generations.

In Alabama, the daffodils and redbuds are almost gone. Some of the dogwoods are coming into bloom but they usually don't last long. And then there are the gaudy azaleas: and then you know its time to pack the sweaters and blankets away.

The camellias bloom mainly in winter. They are a little ragged now from the frosts.

    What's happening in Kentucky?

I have a crocus or two and daffodils blooming. Soon there will be redbuds and wisteria all around. And the trees have that pale mint green color, except the maples whose buds are faintly red. It's a pretty time.
