I have 3 Richard Waldren Bamboo that I want to put in a strip by the driveway under the power lines. The problem is...they are too expensive to do the whole job alone. Has anyone tried spacing these with Pink Muhly Grass in between? I really don't know how quickly the grass grows and I don't want to have a ridiculous looking hedge for more than a year if I can help it. I am in SE Texas on the Gulf if that helps.
I am also a little concerned that the Muhly grass will give it too 'wild' of a look. Any opinions or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
The strip is about 40 feet long and 7 feet wide but we need to leave room on both sides of the planting. One side is a fence and the other, the driveway.
