I am high desert, but gets plenty hot anyway. I need plants that if I skip a day they won't croak. Any suggestions appreciated.

Post #8617042 has a lot of suggestions. I have a ton of lemon scented geraniums that do well in heat with watering every other day. Want I should send you some? ^_^
