Seems a bit misleading; wouldn't it be better as General John A Logan (Civil War General) or at least Commander in Chief John A Logan (C n C of the Grand Army of the Republic)...
Chief John Logan was actually an Cayuga Indian chief around 1775 in Ohio and Pa. area who made a famous speech at the conclusion of Dunsmore's War (colonial times).
