When I firs saw the photo, I thought you had identified my unknown tree that used to grow along my gravel road until the road crew killed it.
The leaves are heart shaped like a redbud, but te flowers ar creamy and shaped like a lily of the valley flower. It was growing wild at the edge of the road so it is native to Missouri. I wanted to get seed and plant it on my property, but the road crew in their desire to clear everything, mutilatd it and it did not live long enough to produce seed. Do you/anyone know what it is?
