Not sure if they grow on the other islands too, but you can find them up in the forest tracks in the hills near my home. I am sure they are considered a biological nuisance but they make nice snacking when hiking. It was very interesting to learn more about them. Thank you

Wow. I had no idea they were in Hawaii. What my reading about them said is that they were maybe native to New England and the Thimble Islands in Connecticut were named for them.
