'Mouse Trap' vs 'Snow Mouse'

Ottawa, ON(Zone 5a)

Hi folks,

I'm wondering whether any of you can tell the difference between 'Mouse Trap' and 'Snow Mouse'. I have both - both new in 2010. They seem identical to me. Both are 1st generation sports of 'Blue Mouse Ears'. Do these stay pretty much identical or are differences more apparent as they mature?

It is going to be interesting to see if there are really a lot of differences in all of the Mose Ears being introduced. Right now my 'Mighty Mouse' planted last year and 'Frosted Mouse Ears' newly planted look very much alike.

I've noticed that the margin is a slightly different colour at this time of year. This is Frosted Mouse Ears.

And this is 'Mighty Mouse'. Very similar, but the margin seems to be a bit whiter.

Of course, 'Mighty Mouse' is a first generation sport of BME while 'Frosted ME' is a second generation sport. And then there is the one I bought this year labelled 'Mighty Mouse', but which I've dubbed 'Mighty Confused Mouse'. No leaf the same and virtually none with proper coloration.

Here are my 2 "Mighty Mouse'. Purchased as a local nursery which I'm certain got them from the same source. Look at the variation. This is plant 1.

Looks like #2 is a bit confused too and #1 has really exceptionally wide margins. Interesting.

I have Snow mouse new this year so i will take a photo when I get home.
I also have Frosted mouse and it's barely survived from last year so I will photo it too.
Interesting observations.
