Me either but when I saw it I had to have it. I don't know if it was Hallson's picture or Dave's garden but I checked it out and I really like it too! :)

Those are wonderful looking plants. Wish I could order from Hallson's, but Chris won't sell to Canada. I DID go visit a couple of years ago though.

Nothing. I wouldn't be able to bring them across the border unless I wanted to smuggle and if you get caught you could lose your car. And that time we were in a small vintage sports car with limited luggage space on the way to southern Indiana.

That's a shame, I wonder why that is. It seems really strict if they would take your car over a plant !

It applies to anything that you try to smuggle across the border. But plants must have a phytosanitary certificate. Lots of agriculture in Canada and better not to take the risk of bringing in unwanted pests or diseases. Same thing applies going the other way, I'm sure. We can't take any citrus fruit, even as part of our lunch, into the USA.

I love Hallson's. I buy almost all my hostas from there. I will only buy somewhere else if Hallson's doesn't have what I'm looking for.

I hear you ! I will probably buy there from now on. I bought a bunch of small hostas from the co-op and Country Boys just to get my Hosta Garden going. I was able to buy a lot of different varieties. I have them all in a raised flower bed because they are too small to go right into the ground. They are basically just liners. But the Hostas I got from Hallson's are big enough to go right into the ground. I am very impressed, not just the size of the plants but also the communication and customer service. They are at the top of my favorites!
