Beautiful. I just hope my arboreas look as good when they eventually flower.

Mine were grown from seeds from our lovely Chrissy here on DG.
Very slow to start as they were planted back in 2009. They have grown a lot since then and are now around 3' high.

Jean
Do you mean they have not flowered in 3 years?
Mine took 8 months and I regard that as a long time!

They were so small at first, that I had to nurse them inside for a year. So very slow growing. Even when put outside with the bigger boys, the arboreas were still slow until last year when they put on a spurt of growth. Now they have caught up in size to lots of others, I may see flowers. No signs of a Y yet though.
I am always way behind everyone here as it seems to be colder for longer . Spring signs can be here ( daffs , blossom etc) but not many days of real warmth until at least mid september.
August is usually windy with plenty of showers.
This area was one of the first pioneered by English settlers with large areas for sheep. I think they brought some of the English winter and left it here
