I don't have a brown dog. A black cat and two rabbits (you have to improve that clay soil with those M&M's). I always heard about the Dog Days and now I understand the meaning.

Rabbits might eat that early lettuce, but they sure do help to improve the soil!!

Rabbits moight improve the soil, but they eat everything it grows! They even ate my 2 tobasco peppers, plant and all. Even worse, they munched on my wild jewelweed which I finally got to grow. Need it for my poison ivy.
Wish we only had 99 degree weather this year. We have had more days over 100 this July than we have had for the last 10 - 15 years. That and over 70% humidty. My 7 cats and I set in our air condtioned house and watch the birds.

Me too, dordee, me too with the cats and the a/c and the 100 degree days. It's been a little better this week, though.
