A lot of people were noting that I needed a table next to my chair on the back porch, so I scrounged around in my shed and found the components to make this table. The legs are from a shelf unit, the base is part of one of the shelves and the top is a vintage 50's BBQ tray that I sprayed w/clear acrylic to keep it from fading.

A person should never throw anything away. (I learned that from my grandma.) You never know when inspiration will strike and you can make something really useful. Love it frogy.
Great table! I wonder what else you can scrounge for in that shed?
I sometimes wonder how many of us on this forum have biplolar 1 or 2 with all this creativity flowing around. All the great artists had bipolar disorder. We are very creative when energized.
Those vintage trays are wonderful. Great way to use one. ^_^
I had to chuckle about the beer steins on the shelf in your tray picture...
I (we) used to collect beer steins all the time in the 70's and 80's.
Souvenirs from trips---hand made ones---ethnic ones from different countries--
ones with a location on them--etc.
Most of the shelves around my small bar are filled with steins....and shot glasses--
and beer glasses, etc....
I have a picture---hope I can find it...... Gita
I don't have any steins, but I have a small collection of old yellow ware mugs from the 20's-40's, including one from Gesundheit Beer that was given away as a premium by the brewery.
