This is a photo a friend took of a spider in what looks to be window blinds. I thought I knew most Wisconsin spiders, but I cannot exactly match this with any that I'm familiar with. I can't tell if its in a web or not from this photo. The markings on the cephalothorax are opposite arrangement of those on any of the funnel or nursery web, or wolf spiders I've seen (dark stripe instead of light stripe down center). And as much as that does look like a deformed violin, I'm positive its not a brown recluse. And then there are those white markings down the back of the abdomen. I would love to put a name with this spider, and I really don't want to tell everyone that thinks its a hobo that its not until I do actually know what it is (pretty sure we don't have hobos in Wisconsin). Thanks so much! :)
