maybe you'll find another one somewhere else. Have you checked out any of the dog rescue groups? A lady I work with is involved with Sheltie Rescue, and whenever they rescue a dog, someone fosters it until they can find a good home for it. I wonder if there is a rescue group for Yorkies.
mine will still fit...I don't eat a lot at one time. We're having grilled chicken breasts, potato salad, deviled eggs, garlic-dill sauteed red potatoes for Eric (he doesn't eat potato salad or deviled eggs), and veggies. Now I'm getting hungry just thinking about all that food!
thanks for all the thoughts and prayers - it has been a pretty tough road - I've tried to make the best of it all, but there are times that I am still overwhelmed ...between being so far behind in the yard and having flashbacks of the different phases of my recovery, it can do a number on a person...I got to the point that I just withdrew from everybody and everything...that isn't me, for sure. Thank God for a wonderful husband and all my friends, far and near, I'm getting through it. I guess I am impatient, want to be able to do all what I'd been doing, and right NOW!!
Thanks for being here - hopefully, I am back on DG again
Jan we are so happy to see you back! We certainly missed you! Yes, you are very lucky that you have a wonderful hubby and good friends that are helping you get thru everything. Just take one day at a time and don't try to do too much!
Mom D - no more wheelchair, walker, or cane - I am now self propelled...lol And, I am extra careful about falling - have developed a real fear - guess I'm afraid something will break loose - like a joint...lol
you're cold there? I can't imagine having to turn on the heat in September! We are hot! here...100 the last two days! Tomorrow a slight chance of dry thunderstorms here. More of a possibility up in the mountains, though, with not much rain, so chance of wildfires.
that is my next project - paint the downstairs - will be a devil - have to move bookcases and computer stuff...oh well, this will probably the last time I paint this area, so I'd best do it right...had thought about painting around the bookcases...lol
gosh - all that talk about mopping the floor - at my home, it was a quick broom sweeping a couple of times a day - Mom was not a neat person - I have a difficult time making myself keep things orderly -
Kathy - do you know if the baby is a girl or boy??
Jan, I thought I mentioned it in one of my d-mails??! The baby's going to be a boy. I wanted it to be a girl, but I didn't get to choose! LOL! So, I'm finding whatever cute things I can make for him. The sweater is almost done, just have a half sleeve to finish then I can stitch it all together. And then sew the cute little turtle buttons on that I bought. The quilt is almost done, been having problems with my mom's sewing machine coming unthreaded when I try to use the zig-zag stitches to sew the binding on. Got a pattern and material to make a pair of pants out of green corduroy to match the green in the sweater, got a couple of stuffed toys in the making...two types of teddy bears, one just a huggable pillow type, the other will be jointed. And I'm also going to make a hat to match the sweater. My son loves everything I've got started right now. He thinks the quilt is awesome! And he loves the little sweater. He thinks it's so adorable that I'm in grandma mode (as he put it)!
glue - make that sadness - you guys were posting while I was thinking...
I had a sourdough starter that used potato flakes - the taste was different, but so very good...lost it and the person who gave it to me has passed away...have tried a couple of "starter recipes" but none were like what I had :-(((
sounds fun! We've done river cruises and a cruise on Lake Tahoe. I've also taken a ferry to from New Jersey to the Statue of Liberty; and from SF to Alcatraz. Those were all fun! Oh!!! I guess you were talking about a classic car cruise!
I'm worn out this evening...Sterling was being a little brat today, especially after dinner. Wouldn't do anything his mother told him to do. She's really trying to discipline him, at least when they are here, but she needs to be a little more stern with him.
yes, I do. I was surprised that Sunny actually turned the show off that Sterling was watching on my computer, because he wasn't doing what he was told to do. And Eric does step in...last night he asked what the problem was, and then told Sterling to sit in his chair until it was time to go.
