Does anyone have any advice for growing peaches (suggested varieties, etc.) in coastal southern Maine?

Fedco should have some information and variety suggestions for your area.

Here's a site from Univ. of Maine that may be helpful. They do suggest some peach varieties under one of their links.

I have had great success with redhaven peaches in Nova Scotia; I am sure that they will grow well in Maine. Mine grow within 200 metres of the ocean. They don't seem to mind saltwind.
