Hi folks. The hostas for today start with N and O. I have only one "N" hosta and that's my own seedling of 'Outhouse Delight'. Like its parent, it emerges white and usually fries in the sun and the second flush of leaves is misty. This was a seedling from 2008.

'Obsession' new spring 2007. this picture from June 20. this plant was divided this year and replanted in 3 groups which I later dug and replanted in my veggie garden separately to have for plant sales next year. This plant does not thrill me and I'm going to get rid of it.

OHS Streaker - my name for an unnamed streaked seedling which was a gift from the Ontario Hosta Society when they toured my garden last year. I would suspect it might have been a seedling from 2008 or so. This picture taken July 18.

'On Stage' - ALWAYS the last plant in my garden to emerge. I've had it since August 2006 and this year it really looked good. It stayed light green until early August and brightened up this dark corner where it is. This picture taken June 20.

'Orange Marmalade' was a gift in July 2009. I like this one and am assessing its location which a number of plants have found too dark. So far it's doing well. This picture taken July 18.

Finally, 'Outhouse Delight'. New spring 2007, it has shown a fair bit of growth. Supposed to be rhizomatous and likely is, but not aggressively so. This picture taken July 8 after it had greened up a bit. The leaves on this are smaller than on my seedling, 'Nolan on Ice'.

How long have you had 'Nougat'? Supposed to be tricky to grow. I'd be interested in updates on it.

I got it last year as a liner, and it's doing okay. I'm not sure if it's in the right light, so it will stay in a pot for a while.

Orange Marmalade, new last year from a trade division. So far not the strongest grower. I plan to move it to a bed with less sun next spring, so it doesn't bleach so fast. Pic taken July 16.

I'm not sure that the amount of sun has much to do with the colour of OM. Mine is fairly close to my Linden tree in a pretty dark place and it's still quite white.
