I received seeds from my friend's daisy plants. Should I keep them in a jar and sew them next Spring outdoors?
Start them indoors this Winter? Or
Should i spread them on the ground NOW where i want them to grow ? Live in Zone 5
Also, I need to protect my perennials over winter...how will they self sow if mulch is covering them????
Would it be better if I collected the seed pods NOW when they are ripe and sow them myself later like you say to do with the daisy seed??
What variety of daisies are they?
Most perennials don't usually self sow, they grow back from the roots from the original plant.
With anything that self sows though, the seeds do make their way into the ground even with mulch(mulch should never be right up against the plant anyway)
