    Is it time , to plant Zoysia grass sod in Arkansas now? I mean will it live good...We have a place ,not far from us, that raises it..So ,it will be very alive and healthy...ready to go...I have heard ppl say , best to plant in early spring...

    To do the plugs or is it full sheets of sod? I would think it would be better in the spring, because it will be going dormant for the winter. you have to make sure you plant it early enough before any frosts

    We have zoysia and I think we did it in the fall. We did plugs and took few years before the whole yard is covered. You can check the yard by checking the threads that i started.I am in the middle of a big project. You will like zoysia because it disease and drought resistant. DH mows it once a month. Make sure you have a good dirt/ soil. we put 5 track loads of soil before planting. Good luck!! Belle

    Zoysia roots in best when soil temperatures are above 60 degrees so it's best to do it in mid-spring or later.

    Sorry...We did go ahead and planted the Zoysia in , I think , it was , like the middle of Oct...' 11...It is now Apr..2 ..2012 and the grass, is just abeautiful/...Very green...I did put Miracle grow on it in March...So we are in business...

    I cant find my way, around in this..So, when I finally do, it is rather old...I will get better...Dont come in here a lot..Guess I need too, since I do pay..lol u all have a good day
