i guess i should look on all recipes.com...and why no cloves??! Whenever I make anything that calls for spice-cinnamon, cloves, ginger, allspice, and/or nutmeg-such as pumpkin pie, pumpkin bread, spice cakes, etc...i always add more than what the recipe calls for.
I hate when that happens. Having to throw food out that you paid good money for. Yeah, I hope she does to. We were supposed to go to the pumpkin farm today. Eric says we probably won't go, because next paycheck, he has to pay rent and car insurance, and won't have any extra to spend, since they had to go to the ER.
yeah, he knows to pay bills first before spending. His ex didn't see it that way, and got them in a financial mess a few years ago. Finally got everything paid off...and no credit cards, now. So he pays for everything with cash. Once it's gone, it's gone.
that should be fun...the one yesterday the men came...they do that a lot now...plus a stocked bar...almost like a wedding...plus lots of cute games...today this will be at a church hall and lots of good cooks there!!!
We got a new generator this season, as the power goes out every winter, and maybe one in four, for several days. (Sponge baths get old!) We are on a well, so no piped in water. It will be interesting to see what happens this year. Winter is always dramatic here, as I grew up in southern CA where we visited the snow in the mountains, but it rarely got to city level. Once when I was about 7 years old there was a dusting of snow in Los Angeles. Kids get excited about these things. Usually hail was the closest we ever got then. That was also rare.
It is a portable generator as our house is not that large. It is in the basement, and we will wheel it out into the driveway when we use it. We even got an elctrician to route our most needed outlets so we don't have to fiddle with it. It will supply the kitchen, living room, hot water heater and well.
