I feel like blowers are a waste of money and although they might 'clean up' an area, all they do is move the leaves around while polluting both with noise and with whatever it is blowing around. It doesn't get rid of the leaves. The smart gardeners use the leaves as a resource and either rake and save for mulch or mow over them and let them decompose into the ground and grass.
