Years ago I picked some seeds from a Mountain Ash Tree growing in the woods beside the road in northern Quebec near the the border with Newfoundland. I planted them in my yard in Medina, NY and the following year I had one seedling growing in my garden. Now it is about 10 ft tall and has its first seeds this year - vivid red. Wow, what a great memorial token of a lovely place in this world, Quebec.
