I have this double purple/white datura and recently a large seed pod appeared on it which I've been watching, today it has split open and I can see the seeds, should I cut it off and let it dry on a paper towel or something like that. Don't want to lose the seeds. Also need information on drying and planting the seeds, can they be planted as soon as they are dry.
Also have some webs of some kind on the plant and leaves just started falling off, what do I do about that? I don't see any "critters" and have removed the webs.
Any information would be very helpful, have only had this plant a few months and don't want to lose it.
Thanks very much

In your picture there are little white flecks in the web. Those are spider mites. Spray with insecticidal soap otherwise they will return and could spread to adjacent plants. As for your other question about drying and when to plant the seed, I'm not sure. I've not really tried to propagate mine. I am fortunate enough to be able to grow mine outside without winter protection. It comes back year after year even if it gets nipped by frost. It's over 10 ft. tall now and just starting to get ready to bloom.
