Bird Identification: CLOSED: Having trouble identifying

jeswain60 Wells, ME November 26, 2011 6:50 AM Post #8906237	This bird was seen on Cape Cod, MA, but several years ago and not sure of the date(camera date was wrong). The closest I could find was a Eurasian tree sparrow, but wrong range per my guide book. I looked at warblers and sparrows with no luck. Any help? Click the image for an enlarged view.
Chillybean Near Central, IA (Zone 4a) November 26, 2011 7:35 AM Post #8906293	It looks like a House Sparrow to me.. I see a bit of gray on the crown and on a Eurasian tree, it would be all brown.
jeswain60 Wells, ME November 26, 2011 8:38 AM Post #8906358	Thanks, I looked at my Sibley's guide and specifically looked at House sparrow...missed the Adult Breeding phase photo I guess. You are correct. Can't believe I missed it as it is on the same page as the Eurasian sparrow... Thanks.
