Perennials: Potted Mum survival tips?

I recently bought a florist's mum at the supermarket on a whim.

I'm keeping it in front of a frosted window and watering about daily. So far it looks healthy, but I'm not sure how long I should wait before re-potting it.

Has any had success getting a potted mum to bloom again the following year?
