Save $$ by making your own laundry soap from this recipe. :)

Today my daughter made her own laundry soap from a recipe located at this link: http://beingcreativetokeepmysanity.blogspot.com/search/label/Homemade%20soap She's going to wash a load using it tonight and will let me know how she likes it. It has all the cleaning ingredients in it that it should have. The person posting the recipe says it cost her $20 to make a batch that lasted her July to March. .....The laundry soap recipe is a little over half way down the page. :)

PS: You can buy 5 pound bags of citric acid on Amazon.com, if you cannot locate it where you live. :)

It's fun and makes you feel thrifty. There have been a series of threads on home made laundry detergents.

You might direct her to read thru them and join in. Each one links to the previous ones.

I've been making my own laundry soap for a couple of years now and I love it!

I like Zote better than Fels Naptha - I think it gets the clothes cleaner. I buy it a Home depot.
