We were outside a ways from Iowa City and saw this as we were driving along. Can this be a male Northern Harrier? This is the only picture I have.

    I have two more.

I am pretty sure this is a Red-tailed Hawk, but would like someone else to say yes or no on this. We've been seeing a lot of hawks on our drives, but do not want to assume they all are Red-taileds as we do have a few other winter residents.

And lastly... We are wondering if it is an immature Bald Eagle, but not really sure. But I also wonder if this one is ill. It seems to be perched funny. We did not notice this right away in the picture, but were surprised it didn't fly off. We first thought it was sleeping, even though it was only 4:30 in the afternoon. It does start getting pretty dark around 5, though.

    Thank you for any help.

    Yep, correct on all three.

Maybe the Baldie is perched funny to avoid banging its head on that next branch up?
