Gardening Term Association Game # 7
We Came From Here:
is over, darn! We have a couple of fellows that like to hunt on our property. In exchange, we get some of the meat.
Good night. ^_^
Do you still have snow on the ground?
no more snow...lots of accidents last night:(went to my nieces late last night, saw 4 accidents on the way...she only lives 3 miles away...
What do you do to protect your plants this time of year?
I have not had to cover my lavender. We do not have frost very often and does not bother the lavender I planted.
I don't cover my lavender either. I am thinking that Dems might cover some of her plants since they are not buried in snow.
yes I have to protect some of my plants...save those large plastic pretzel jars,,,works great...not for my tender annuals though..
Did you have a nice Christmas? It was almost 60 degrees here. I actually worked outside for a bit. Everything was so dry, as the last 2 winters (and falls) have been wet and snowy. I even had to water. The kniphofia up front by the road is almost finished blooming. They have been going strong for over a month now. I'll probably cut them down tomorrow.
a set of nice clippers...yes,a very nice Christmas...guess you had fun playing in the dirt...are those the same as red hot pokers???was in the 30's here today,no snow or rain!!!
Yes, red hot pokers. I have some in other colors, but they bloom in spring-summer.
did/nt know they cames in other colors mine are red...
Yes, I have some pale yellow ones. There are in many colors, actually. the ones up front are orange and yellow.
you have your poppies planted there...the orange one's???
got 12 as a gift, can't wait till summer to put them out...
I have been working outdoors most of the day today, raking, weeding and sowing some seeds. Today I sowed larkspur, bachelor buttons, cosmos, clarkia and iberis. Next time I will sow various kinds of poppies, CA poppies and more larkspur, and some scented stock. It sure is good to be feeling better. Ear still hurts, though.
What do they look like?
butterflies,garden fairies and bees...all made by hand...beautiful..
Helen does yours get mildew????someone told me to put cinnamon down...no luck mine still get's it:((
I am growing it for the first time in a long time. The deer have eaten part of it, but it is still alive. I have not seen any mildew on it so far.
You see mildew on that one too?
Ever try neem oil? I heard it works great. And it is organic.
