    I love the wall. Great spot to use the space behind the wall to take advantage of the slope. Fill it in with soil and create the bed. Did you pack gravel at the base of the wall or simply dig a trench and start the first course? My assumtion is that being a low wall and the size of stone used allows you to forgo the installation of a base material. What did you use to handle the larger stones? What is the relative cost of materials for a wall that size?
