I don't know how cold your winters are but I've planted daffodils here as late as January and they did fine. The came up in the spring and bloomed and started multiplying last year (their second year).
I'd go with the others and plant right now without delay, but if worried, you can always grow them in pots and keep in the garage till you see tiny green shoots come through, next year you can grow them out in the garden or I should say this year, here I go already confused about what year it is and it's only just began, Oh well good luck anyway, hope you have a lovely show from your bulbs.
